Recognizing
this, Frost began writing and field testing stories for children. The
result of this work was the creation of Joy Stories. Frost's mission
in founding Joy StoriesTM www.joystories.com
is to use her expertise to help children change their own behaviors
and attitudes and teach parents how their behavior can greatly affect
a child. Parents can learn to use their own storytelling techniques
to raise their child's self-esteem using Joy StoriesTM
as models.
Frost has
written articles that have appeared in national publications such as
Woman's Day and Playthings Magazine, and she has appeared on local and
national radio and television programs. Her eight original bedtime stories
for building self-esteem and a peaceful night sleep, Joy Stories has
received recognition from child psychologists both nationally and internationally
along with rave reviews in Chicago Parent, Nashville Parent, Dallas
Parent, Grand Magazine, and Seasons Magazine to name a few. Her titles
have also received Teachers™ Choice Awards in 2005 and 2006, iParenting
Media Awards™ Greatest Product, Homeschool.com™ Educational Gift Award
2004, The National Parenting Center's Seal of Approval 2005, Dr. Toy's
Most Socially Responsible Product 2003, Creative Child Magazine Seal
of Excellence 2004 along with 17 other awards in the past 3 years .
Along with
continuing to develop stories, Frost also works with student teachers
to train them to be more effective teachers, as well as presenting seminars,
writing articles, appearing on radio and television shows to assist
parents in becoming more effective in their child's development. With
humor and light heartedness, Frost's practical approach to child rearing
is one with which everyone can identify.
